Wonderful photographs of a great river. I have canoed with my sons on the
Nottaway River and its beautiful lakes in the past and had hoped someday to
canoe on the Rupert. I would hope there are still portage trails around these
awesome rapids that could be scouted, but I expect they are not used enough to
make them obvious.
Thank you for posting the photographs. I hope I can get there before 2007 when
the view will be much different after the diversion. |

Your website was very helpful to us in planning our James Bay trip (August
2004). Like you, we took oodles of photos and video, but I found that they
didn't do justice to how serene the region is. We were among the last people to
take a tour with Mr & Mrs Cromarty; however, their daughter is intending to take
over the tourism business. We would like to plan a return trip in the winter to
see the caribou but that will be on hold until we purchase a more reliable
vehicle! |

great hunt !!! my son and i enjoyed it . will be up there again -2005,nov. this
